Huỳnh Thị Thanh Thủy triumphs over 70 contestants to become the 62nd Miss International and the first-ever winner from Vietnam.
MANILA, Philippines – Vietnam’s Huỳnh Thị Thanh Thủy was crowned Miss International 2024 during a dazzling finals night held in Tokyo, Japan, on Tuesday, November 12.
Overcoming 70 other contestants, Huỳnh made history as the first Miss International winner from Vietnam and became the 62nd titleholder of the prestigious pageant.
“I’m the first Miss International from Vietnam. Finally, I can prove that I deserve all the love and support from my audience and fans in Vietnam and around the world. Thank you so much,” she shared in her first message as the new Miss International 2024.
She is the third woman to hold the prestigious Long Beach Crown. Miss International 2023, Andrea Rubio from Venezuela, passed the crown to this year’s winner.
The Miss International 2024 court includes:
- 1st Runner-up: Camila Ribera Roca from Bolivia
- 2nd Runner-up: Alba Perez from Spain
- 3rd Runner-up: Sakra Guerrero from Venezuela
- 4th Runner-up: Sophie Kirana from Indonesia
Angelica Lopez, Binibining Pilipinas International 2023 from the Philippines, did not advance to the top 20 in this year’s Miss International pageant.
Miss International is one of the world’s oldest beauty pageants and is part of the “Big 4” — a term used for the top four global pageants: Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, and Miss Earth.
Huỳnh Thị Thanh Thủy’s victory makes her the second Vietnamese winner in the “Big 4,” following Nguyễn Phương Khánh, who won Miss Earth in 2018.
Based in Japan, Miss International is renowned for its mission to promote goodwill and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The first Miss International titleholder, Colombia’s Stella Marquez-Araneta, now leads Binibining Pilipinas Charities Incorporated, which organizes the annual Binibining Pilipinas pageant.
